With the autumnal Equinox, we enter the zodiac sign of Libra. Her throne stands on a pedestal. This is an ancient symbol of truth and justice. The Egyptians associated it with their goddess Maat. She was seen as a symbol of the cosmic order on which we all depend. She accompanies the human being during the life and watches over social existence in its ethical and moral aspects. At the end of human life, she weighs the heart of us all against her symbolic feather. When we are determined to walk on the straight and narrow path we follow the noble way of righteousness. Acting kind and with goodness, living in harmony with the eternal laws, we carry a light burden through our life so that in the end our heart is not heavier than the feather of Maat. 

The pedestal of Key 11 is a basis, a foundation. It shows that we are dependent on the cosmic order. It means that all our actions must be based on truth and justice. Thus, we can create order from the chaos around us and establish a balance between opposing forces.

Key 11 is called the Faithful Intelligence. “Faith is the substance of things hoped for”, we read in the Epistle to the Hebrews. Hope needs a foundation to not to remain vague and unfulfilled. The Kybalion tells us that we are held in the spirit of the universe. We may become more and more aware that we live by the guidance which comes to us from within and from above. Paul Foster Case assures us that this guidance is the birthright of every human being. Thus, we are able to see reality and its inner significance. We can modify and improve the world around us. It is up to us to prepare the place for the new being, in the alley, in the house, in the heart.

The desire of our heart is so manifold. It is in our heart that we feel the unity with all beings and from this raises the love of God and his creation. This brings stillness and peace to our heart. And that is the only source to bring peace into the world.
